Made for Falling Block Jam 2025 - Place blocks onto a grid, and enclose combos and score points. Use Special blocks like pushers, bombs, and gravity blocks, and clear each stage’s goal to advance through 8 unique puzzle levels

Mash-a-Bloc was my game jam entry for the Falling Block Jam, and was made solo in roughly one week. My goal was to make a game where players needed think about where to optimally place modular tetromino-style pieces, and present choices with trade-offs that a skilled player could leverage to their advantage.

This project required designing a dynamic system for analyzing clusters of scoring blocks in an arbitrary arrangement, as well as relying on screen effects and particle systems to create satisfying interactions.

I’m happy with the results of game, and I can see many ways I could expand the concept with more time.
